Via Pal is a non-profit organization established 2011, by Palmira Oliveira, with its location being in Elizabeth, NJ www.viapal.org. Via Pal’s sole intent is to be able to help Cancer Patients nationwide, facing financial hardship with some monetary assistance. We can’t imagine what these patients go thru, and we understand that any and all help is a blessing. As a startup non-profit back in 2011, where there were only 2 members, we have slowly grown and are presently at 15 volunteers/members, whom thanks to them continue to make Via Pal thrive and make this financial assistance possible. With all their help in organizing Via Pal’s Annual Push the Pedal bike ride, for the purpose to raise funds, hopes of growing & continuation of nationwide Cancer Warrior outreach assistance.
Without the help of these volunteers that all hold their own jobs, and all have families these great souls are still able to dedicate some of their time to assist Via Pal in organizing events, we would not be able to help so many people. And let us not forget all of you, sponsors and donors that continue to support our vision and every year assist us with your generosity.
Since 2011 we have helped in excess of 100 Cancer Warriors and donated in excess of 100k, in the same time period. In addition, we know that there are other small non-profit organizations trying to assist Cancer Warriors such as Via Pal in different ways/areas and we provide some monetary contributions to these other non-profits, so that they can also continue to provide the assistance to Cancer Warriors.
